Very nicely done build. We have similar good taste. I love G-Bodies and my first truck was an 84 S10 Blazer with a 2.8 and a five speed. I had a 305 that I was going to put in it but someone ran into me and took it away (totaled). I still want another one.

Thanks!!.... it’s funny you say that because we are similar, the truck in the back ground was/is my first car, and I still have it! It’s a 1988 GMC S-15 Jimmy 4x4 (which had a 2.8L 5 speed in it when I bought it). I took the 2.8l out when I was 14 (had 176k on it) and put in 4.3L tbi that I rebuilt myself, after firing it up it had a knock...which is when I found out that polishing the crank with Emory cloth...I got a little carried away and polished too Much! Instead of replacing the crank, I just found a ow mileage vortec 4.3 and dropped that in..drove it through high school that way and then put in a 305 Tuned port that I rebuilt, then after the 305 cracked it’s block then I put in a 350 TPi crate engine . I converted it to front coil over suspension and removed all 4x4 stuff and made it 2wd.
Here’s a few pictures of it when I bought it at 14 in 1998

Nice story and nice Cutlass. 400hp might not be what it was 15-20 years ago or even 10 but that's still nothing to sneeze at, enough fun can be had in that range.
