Thanks, its been a fun car but really needs the cleanup. I basically got it running and drove the wheels off it for a couple years. Seems like it's a pattern with me. I drive junk then fix it up right before I sell. Never enjoy the nice and shiny stage.

Lol, I’m the same. The wife shakes her head at me and says that I finally have it the way I want it, and then I sell it off.... guess I get restless and see something else I’ve been wanting.....

Just got back from a week working in Dominican Republic and while I was gone my parents made a visit to my brother. Timing worked out perfect so they were able to bring the hatch home, saving me a trip. I spent the day catching up on paper work and kicking tumble weeds loose from the hillside. It was windy so I took advantage. But I did manage to get it bolted up to see how it looks. Just about perfect paint match! I've got to make a Seattle run tomorrow and Wednesday so I doubt I'll get it trimmed out until the weekend.

looking at the pic, I wouldn't have known the paint doesn't match... looks good, he did a good job!

careful, closer you get to getting it finished, you may end up wanting to keep it!

Funny you should say that. My dad was helping me get it bolted on and that's exactly what I said when I stepped back to see it. "I'm keeping it."
The paint looks to be about perfect match. Although under different lighting conditions I may be able to see a variance. Luckily the location and body lines will work to my advantage. A door or fender might be more obvious.

fixing all the "little" things on the exploder that I'd always meant to "get to", then cleaning everything (including the carpets under the seats 🤢) , I'd been waffling on selling it. but finally threw it up on marketplace, and have a few showings this morning, and several people in the wings... hope I sell it to the first or second so I don't change my mind.....(not that it’s a special package or in mint condition mind you....)
