A little something to offend everyone

That gray is the color. I got one coat on this afternoon. I'll do another in the morning. The core support will be black.
:wtf: I thought you were trying to unfahk it. So, is it going to be body color or black?

😛

I'm unsure about the grey but the prep work looks great. I'm looking forward to seeing it all back together. I've seen a few of your detailed engine compartments (pictures) so I know it will look great.

Must be a JDM thing.
Might be. I've seen it on other 510s and just liked the look.

The other justification is that the damage was already done. I would have preferred to just clean up a factory painted engine bay but previous owner eliminated that possibility. If the car was still in factory configuration (L-series engine) I almost certainly would have repainted it body color as it would have been more of a restoration.

Appreciate the kind words. It's really just 10-footer quality prep work though. Seems to translate pretty well in the photos. No good excuse for it to have taken this long other than good old fashioned procrastination. I'm mostly over the hump of the part I've been avoiding now. Should see progress more rapidly unfold.
Thanks for watching.
