Cummins or 4BT would be unusual.

You know what would be different a turbo'ed EFI Chevy straight 6. I don't think I've ever seen one of those. My dad had a nova with a straight 6. Couldn't kill the thing. The whole rest of the car fell apart but the motor was still running strong

I have been collecting parts to build a 3800 turbo engine for my car. I have a few other projects ahead of that engine, but I am anxious to get it started. Check out 81cutlass's cars. He has some pretty cool odd combination cars.

I've got a 350 Buick in my Regal. Not too out there in the realm of odd g body engines, but you certainly hardly ever see one. It's as easy as a 305 to a 350 chevy.

OH There is also a video on youtube of a Lexus V8 in a cutlass and it sounds great and looks factory.

I have done the 350 Buick into a 82 Regal. 400 Pontiac into a 78 Grand Prix. 501 Cadillac into a Cutlass, and a 472 into a Malibu. 455 Buick into a Regal. Obviously BBC into a few. 4.3 Vortec into an El Camino. Helped with an LSx into a G-body, into a square body C10, into a 94 Camaro. LSx into a 928 Porche (its not done yet, budget constraints)* Its not mine.

Total off breed was a Buick aluminum V8 215 into an MGB, that begat a 4.0 Rover motor into it later.
