I have 275/60 TA's on my El Camino, mounted on 15x8 Corvette Rally with 4"bs. Very minor rubbing on a bump when cornering, but it's about ideal, not requiring any body lift.

I have run 275/60 15 on the following with no issues:68 LeMans, 70 LeMans, 78 Cutlass,79 GP, 83 Malibu Wagon

Most have been on stock 15" rims, Pontiac rallys or Vette steelies.

The shot of the Wagon below is wearing a pair.

The only issue has been the offset of the rear. Gbodys are the worst. I have a few spacers, most of the time a 1/4" spacer on the pass side squares things up.

My GP used a 3/8" spacer!!!!!

Oh , if racing, you can stuff a 30x9 radial slick under the car. That's whats on the Cutlass. No notch or trimming needed.

oh ok. yeah maybe ill have to run a spacer. i remember a few years back i ran a set of 235/70/15 in the the back they rubbed the frame on the passenger side only on a hard i mean hard turn when the old air shocks were let down. i was worried about 275 60 15 as they are both 28" tires but of course the 275 being much wider. also way back when they were mounted on 5\15x7 4" bs dont know if my new 15x8 4"bs will make a difference?

YEs putting the 275 on a 15x8 with the same BS as the 15x7 will move the sidewall outward a half inch.

I have 275/60 BFGs on 15x8's with 4" BS on my '84 Camino and '83 wagon, both are fairly low in back. They''ll rub in hard corners or pulling into driveways, but they rub on the inside, which I'd prefer as they're not getting cut or gouged up.
