I am currently running a 276/60/15 on my GN but am going to go with 275/50/15 in the nere future. The 60s are 28" tall where the 50s are 1"shorter. The reason for going smaller the only rubbing issue i have with the 60 is the outer wheel lip with that extra inch it will not rub. Also smaller tire will in theory changes rear ratio idk.

I am running the 275x60x15 Nitto Drag Radials..When it's time for new tires I'll stick with the Nittos, however will go with the 50 series tire though 8)

these are the things i am looking for. why are you planning on going down to the 50 series?

my understanding is the taller the tire the negative effect it has on gear ratio (so a taller tire makes the gearing higher)

ill be running 3.73 gears with a turbo 350 so i want things to work out right.

The lower diameter tire in a sense changes your gear ratio....I take mine to the track once in a while and if the 50 series tire gets me a lil faster, then why not :) I love the tires I have now and am not in a hurry to get new ones....

Mine are factory 15x8 Corvette rally which are either 4 or 4.25 which us supposed to be better. But I'm truck between the 50 and 60 series.

I don't usually carry anyone in the back though
