I am not playing victim, but thanks for putting words in my mouth. The choices are fair including one to show this was in jest, at least originally anyway. I don't see how it's particularly sh*t stirring, until those who fit a stereotype - "anything that could possibly be perceived as an ls insult must be fought with fire and brimstone, how dare anyone insult an LS" come around and turn it thatbdirection

Literally it started with a question... is 'ls' counted as 'gm' or is it 'chevy'.... thats it.

And simple answer is, the ls wasn't a chevrolet motor division product, it was a general motors corporate product.

Any contentiousness is a result of ruffled feathers by an oversensitive ls crowd. Its like how dare they say im not chevy and im a gm corporate product fan???? Really???

Furthermore, there haven't been "Chevy" engines for quite some time, only corporate engines as you put it. Same with Buick, GMC, Cadillac, etc

I don't see it either. Too may see LS engines as holy relicts that must be worshipped and anything the least bit negative said about is is treated as blasphemy and/or heresy. Built6spd himself implied this question with his inane arguing over a stupid meme. Ultimately its all GM anyway which is why I had the who cares option.
