I don't see how it's particularly sh*t stirring, until those who fit a stereotype - "anything that could possibly be perceived as an ls insult must be fought with fire and brimstone, how dare anyone insult an LS" come around and turn it thatbdirection

I could flip that around and it would be every bit as accurate:

Thinking I must've missed something then. I don't recall him as, at least in this thread, being the first one to veer off topic of the initial post and steer things sideways.

Or, at least as far as I remember, nothing in the initial question or poll said that.

Literally it started with a question... is 'ls' counted as 'gm' or is it 'chevy'.... thats it.

And simple answer is, the ls wasn't a chevrolet motor division product......

I'm not naive to how this topic typically plays out.....nor the motivations of the OP. His intentions were not to ask an innocent question - I wasn't born yesterday.

Its been contended in the car meme thread that LS guys are Chevy guys. However, to me this does not make sense since LS engines are considered GM corporate engines, not specificly Chevy or any other division like classic engines were. What do you think?
