I don't see how it's particularly sh*t stirring, until those who fit a stereotype - "anything that could possibly be perceived as an ls insult must be fought with fire and brimstone, how dare anyone insult an LS" come around and turn it thatbdirection
I could flip that around and it would be every bit as accurate:

.......until those who fit a stereotype - "anything that could possibly be perceived as an SBC/ olds...etc. insult must be fought with fire and brimstone, how dare anyone insult an SBC/olds....etc. come around and turn it in that direction

Actually guy #1 is the OP, who is obviously a sbc fan
Thinking I must've missed something then. I don't recall him as, at least in this thread, being the first one to veer off topic of the initial post and steer things sideways.

Or, at least as far as I remember, nothing in the initial question or poll said that.

Literally it started with a question... is 'ls' counted as 'gm' or is it 'chevy'.... thats it.

And simple answer is, the ls wasn't a chevrolet motor division product......
I'm not naive to how this topic typically plays out.....nor the motivations of the OP. His intentions were not to ask an innocent question - I wasn't born yesterday.

How does that affect anything? Would it be ok if a LS guy asked the same question?

However, I point you to first post:

Its been contended in the car meme thread that LS guys are Chevy guys. However, to me this does not make sense since LS engines are considered GM corporate engines, not specificly Chevy or any other division like classic engines were. What do you think?
Met by third post:
Alex, I'd like "too much time on your hands/psychological disorders" for $800, please.

So.

Who went off the rails, off topic, and began the insults?

Don't you remember the old joke back in elementary school? When one kid keeps teasing or picking on another kid, it's usually because they've got a BIG crush on them.

Now what this means for you.... hmm. Guess I'm sorry to hear it. Maybe they'll grow out of the crush?

I hope so as I don't lean that way, sorry Built.
