What at first glance seemed like a funny article instead contains a revealing quote by a public official dedicated to threatening your future freedom of movement and interstate travel ability or any future expectation of privacy if we do not act in time to stop the tyrants in this world from creating legislation in preparation for the eventuality of a forced requirement of the autonomous car.

the companies making these cars are free enterprise companies so how do you expect to stop them? The only way to stop them is if the public ignores their cars. I hope your not suggesting you want to petition the gov to shut them down

I am not in a position of much power and influence to do anything which is why I petitioned you. What can you do? I don't even know. You could start simply by not buying these type of products and speaking out against them. Hopefully somewhere down the line a person of greater power and influence can petition for laws banning autonomous cars from production entirely. Whether or not it succeeds in preventing the most likely inevitable, it would force the enemies of your freedom to reveal themselves more publicly and flaunt their outrageous socialist agenda in order to explain themselves. In 2016 I guess it is 'madness' to challenge the status quo. Or do nothing and enjoy being driven to work, n*s. I say that knowing you are both white, but you will see how it feels soon when you can either see how it feels to one, or 'join the club' as they say. Two roads in a yellow wood divide you will wish you had but taken the other.

Don't worry about antonymous cars taking over anytime soon. Look at the cars on the road. From a G-body to a Honda fit to a Cadillac Escalade. These are all completely different vehicles that have different purposes, that drive different and they each express something different about the driver. Our personal freedom and autonomy, the belief that we are different and unique in the way we express ourselves it was drives the auto industry. That's what motivates the guy to go buy the brand new Mustang GT or full size pickup. The same thing that drives the college graduate to buy a hybrid. If cars are antonymous they will essentially become comfort pods. They won't have performance or any outward expression of themselves. I don't think people or the market are near ready for that.

Antonymous cars in many ways will probably be more like car shares or bike rentals. You'll go on the Uber app, request a 2 seater and it will show up smelling like wet dog while full of chicken wing bones.

Plus too antonymous cars will have accidents and will crash. Things will happen and people will inevitably die. Just like people with a fear of flying, I think it's the idea if Im going to go down, I'd like to believe I was at least in control and did the best I could.

Me and Pontiac have a big worry about them since kW is like the Silicon Valley of Canada we have a few major companies including Google which this summer should be starting there testing here
