Now there is an idea!!!

I actually am thinking about these, might keep me at 1 set of floorboards a year if I keep riding like this.

A buddy gave me a set of newer shocks, so I threw those on. In 2014 Harley-Davidson made the switch from Corvette style air shocks to these coilover type shocks. They have a preload adjuster to compensate for rider weight. The difference in ride from air shocks is quite impressive! Firm, but less bouncy and more direct!

I also ordered a shifter shaft spacer from a 2020 touring bike from my local dealer. Not bad for $0.84!

+1 on replacing both the tires. Even though they may look okay, 6 years of UV exposure time on the rubber, which still happens even if it is stored in a unit or garage or even if under a tarp, can and will happen. As for the apes, personally I'd ride with them for a few miles, both in town and on the road and see how they feel. The stock bars may not offer as much leverage on the front end at low speed as they do. Also, they are not a universal bar, they are likely to be dimpled for the wiring harnesses for the switches and buttons and the harnesses themselves might have had to be extended or replaced to get the correct length in them to allow for proper slack for turning. Same-same the clutch cable and brake hose. Consider flushing the brake lines and reservoirs both front and rear when you replace the brake fluid because the old stuff soaks up water just sitting there. Otherwise have fun.

sounds like you might be on the first few pages still. Check out the rest of the thread to see the changes!

One of the benefits of this new exhaust is O2 sensor bungs. I have an Innovate motorsports O2 sensor data logger. Its essentially a little computer that has an O2 sensor attached so you’re able to see the air/fuel ratio in real time, or record a period in time. Luckily both O2 sensors on this exhaust are easy to access, I just needed a way to power the sensor. I had an old cigarette lighter laying around that I rigged up to work off the battery tender harness. Routes nice and clean right into the saddlebag, and can be quickly detached if I want to charge the bike!

Its been a while! I graduated college at the beginning of this month, so I thought I’d snap a few graduation pics.

I went down the rabbit hole of LED lighting when I found a set of OEM Harley-Davidson Daymaker Headlights/spot lamps for $100. This is $1000 worth of lighting! I slapped on an OEM LED tail light, and then did LED turn signals by custom dynamics. This converts the turn signals to run/brake/turn signals. Much brighter and more visible than stock. The front turn signals are LED switchbacks that change from white running lights to amber flashing for turn signals. I used Custom Dynamics “triple play” module which does run/brake/turn conversion as well as load equalization.

Then I ran across a killer deal on an OEM police seat. This setup uses an air shock with air reservoir for a plush ride. It also pushes the rider up and forward for a more commanding riding position. I’m on my tip toes, but more comfortable with the bike, really liking this setup so far

Congrats on the graduation. I like the new seat.

Thanks! Its pretty awesome so far!

Good work on the graduation! Bike needs a turbo:twisted:

Thanks! Luckily I get my turbo Harley fix from the Nitro Harley team I pit crew for. He’s got a turbo bike which is currently the quickest in the country with this engine.
