I have a C-Tech 7002 that's been working great for a few years and it has brought a battery or 2 back to life. Once the battery is charged it goes into the maintenance mode It's a great unit but kinda pricey,
I use the cheap ones from Harbor Freight. I have them on both of my hotrods ( 1 for over 3 years, 1 for over 2 years ) I own (4) of them.. catch them on sale for $5.99 each. Never let me down.
I have this battery charger from Harbor Freight. Very good quality. I'm surprised by how happy with it I am. Metal case. The leads won't short on each other. It won't do anything if you hook it up wrong. It has a setting for AGM batteries. It's fully automatic. http://m.harborfreight.com/automoti...v-manual-charger-with-engine-start-60653.html
I have 3 Schumacher battery maintainers, the oldest one is at least 15 years old and I have one hardwired in the trunk of the Monte.
I have never had an issue with any of them.
I have 2 of the Schumacher Battery Companion Units now. Bought one the first winter with the monte 7-8 years ago. It worked so good for the price that I bought a second when I got the boat 4 years ago. I like the pigtail that's attached and left on the battery so I don't worry about the clamps popping off.
