Looking for ideas and pictures of battery tray in trunk or what you built or were in trunk you guys put it I'm relocating mine on my tpi swap want to see were best spot

I have a Optima staggered cell battery mounted to a tray that is mounted to the lower part of the spare tire well.
I have 1/0 fine strand welding cable running to a remote solenoid mounted up front on a my modified heater case.
Many people mount them up on the deck and that is where mine where when I had dual batteries.

I was thinking of same location.. what did you use under hood for solenoid
I used a Ford style solenoid, I looked for one that had the longest studs so I could use it as one of my distribution points.

I have my tray on the ledge as well. As PontiacGP said, it keeps the weight above the rear axle....

I'm also running 1/0 fine strand cable for both power and ground, but straight to the starter on the power and to the frame for the ground.

What intake setup are you using for the TPI swap? What all do you still need?

Fyi... I was running a stealthram setup with TPI ecu, painless harness, etc that has since been retired and needs a good home due to finally going turbo LS.

I'm just running all stock with a 350 tpi cam on a 305 tpi stock everything for now just want the thing running I got my Cummins for now down road I plan 454 carb I also got painless wiring and chip burnt for emissions delete

I put my battery on the ledge over the rear axle too. Used welding wire for starter, but mounted the solenoid in the trunk too. That way there's not an infused wire running the length of the car.
