My current rad has a small leak, fixed for now with stop leak. I was considering the A/G body Griffin Dominator too wide and heard of leak issues. The Summit 3rd gen F body 2 core all aluminium rad, perfect size. Only thing I don't like is the rubber heater hose block off. I will be running a 9.6 to 1 Olds 350 with iron heads. I will eventually build the Olds 403 based 425CI stroker. I don't want to spend $500 either.

Just go measure yours and find that size on summit or jegs. Just because it doesn't says gbody doesn't mean it won't work.

I have always ran Griffen radiators and never had an issue, this is the one I installed in my Monte last fall.

I run dual electric fans and don't use the stock shroud so I'm not sure of shroud fitment issues. I also polished mine.
I would think that if there were leak issues they would be quickly replaced by Griffen as a manufacture defect.
My guess would be people possibly mounting and installing things on and through the core of the radiator if there are leak issues.

i went with a champion two row with built in trans cooler from skip white performance.... was the most inexpensive one i could find for my budget build... think it was a little under $150... cant say how well it works cause i havent finished my build yet... hoping to get her started on tuesday night after work... but it seems well built...

I went with a Griffin for my all iron 496 swap. Its the aluminum 2 core with 1" tubes without trans cooler. I havent installed it yet but I know a few people with them with their small block race cars that make more power than my mild big block. I will also be using 2 16" fans in a push/pull setup. I have always been under the impression that tube diameter is more important than tube quantity.

I have the champion 3 core rad, cooled OK but not great. It is currently in the Olds powered 4x4.

I was wanting something to work with factory hold down. I am running dual remote coolers, no in rad cooler needed. Thanks guys.

I too have a Griffin Dominator and I think it came with 2 rows of 1.5in cores. This thing would cool anything and as a bonus it is completely made in USA.

I bought a BeCool radiator, direct fit. You can get with out without coolers. Uses my factory hold down. A little pricey imo but well worth it. I got mine as module with correct size dual fans for radiator and wiring kits and all.

Not to knock becool but over priced for what you get, other companys provide direct fit like Griffin and others for less money. Becool does not make there radiators they just source parts [most of there cores are from China] same used in the Champion radiators and other no name brands and hire factories to put packages together. There best product is marketing. At one time they hired a Griffin factory to assemble there radiators for them.
