I agree, the 2 core with 1" tubes will cool just as well as a 4 core.

I think the 2 core would actually cool better than a 4 core.

I'm not saying this radiator is the best out there, but to me this looks alot better than the Champion 4 core ( or any Champion for that matter ); http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-HD-Aluminum ... ea&vxp=mtr

There is a lot more to the efficiency of a Radiator then just # of cores or size. The actual design of the radiator can play a role: are the core tubes in line, are they offset, how thick is the core section, how many rows of cores, how many fins per inch, how much airflow, how much surface area, how large are the tanks.

A good 2 core can outperform a cheap 4 core and a well built 4 core can way out do a 2 core.

Good price Double V. I am also measuring to see if the Summit 2 core race rad will fit. I like the lifetime warranty against leaks. I don't need a built in trans cooler and my car is anything but original, just need good cooling.

What's the difference between an American Eagle Radiator and Champion Cooling?
As far as the quality or construction of the radiators, there is no difference. The main difference is the inner tube size for the radiators. Whereas Champion 2-row radiators have 3/4" tubes, American Eagle radiators have 2-rows with 1" tubes which allow for a higher cooling capacity due to the larger surface area to dissipate the heat than the standard Champion 2-rows.

Where are these made?
While our radiators are manufactured in China, hence the low price point, they are designed in the U.S. If an American made radiator is preferred instead, please call us for availability. There will be a price difference to accommodate the American labor being put into it. A standard 2-row is $169.98, and an American made 2-row with 1" tubes is $279.98

Found this on the Championradiators.com site. Even Champion tells you to buy another brand. It goes on to tell you that they are an economy brand. Then they try to trick you by comparing the price of a standard 2-row [with 3/4" tubes] to a 2-row with 1" tubes. Not an equal comparison.

All so very true. Problem is, most places don't provide any of that info so you can't see exactly what you're buying. They just advertise a large number of cores ( 'ours have 4 cores and that's better than 3!' ) in an attempt to trick the buyers into buying what they are led to believe is a superior radiator.

I wonder how this one differs from the one 565bbchevy listed earlier in the post, that one is just a few dollars less and they both have 2-rows of 1.25in cores so these are bigger radiators then any others discussed here. I think you made a good choice since I run the same radiator and my motor it makes 551/542 on the dyno and it cools so well 1 fan cycles and the other never runs and 565bbchevy is likely north of 700hp and it works for him so you should do good.

Going with this one instead.

That one is very similar in size to mine just slightly taller and will be plenty of radiator for your application.
I was looking at this one also for mine but the lower radiator hose is raised and because of it's location and because I am
running a big block(which sits closer to the radiator) there would not be room for me to mount my EMP/Stewart electric in line
water pump that is in the middle of my lower hose.
I also made a set up for my drain petcock that comes out and has a 90 then goes just below the core support for easy access,
I just had it plugged on my old Griffen since it was not accessible but I am smarter now.
