unfortunately my monte wasnt sprayed with enuff clear and i am lookin for a better grade of clear to go on top to give it that really "wet" appearance i was told ppg dc 3000 was the best then a guy told me to try house of kolor klear but ive never seen either sprayed with my own eyes so i figure i would ask you guys opinions. any thoughts? 😀

Hi i use transtar clears to clear the car i work on. if u look at my album you can see the vette and the truck along with my monte and it wont kill the wallet.I have used all three clears but the best is the TRANSTAR 7021-EURO CLASSIC HI SOLIDS CLEARCOAT

thanks for the input larry its always a plus to have quality without breaking the pocket i checked out your work looks NICE

Well now I know what to look into for a clear, so now I need to find the paint. Larry think your willing to tell me the the paint code of that black on the vette, thinking black cause its the factory color of my SS. but I've always been partial to burt orange,(maroon interior n orange I think not). The car now is sprayed with H.O.K. kandy brandywine but wasn't done right it almost looks like its turning pink the hood and roof are the worst. Anyway I'm glad someone asked i'm not ready for that yet but now I have an idea when i get there , THANKS both of you..
(ps I was told I have to chemically strip car cause bubbling looks like a rash 😢 so the paint will have to be inexpensive)

thanks I would appreciate that the prob. I have is the original black never seemed really black to me... 8)

Go with the euro clear. havent used it personally but one coat of euro is equal to like three coats of regular clear. i personally use nason 496, 497, or 498. these get the job done exceptionally well. check for yourself but just imagine what the euro clear would do. as for the black, when you go get it mixed up tell them u want the black toner mixed as a paint. this way you get black with nothing in it except what they use to make all the blacks initially. first four pics are before wetsanding and buff.
