I am currently trying to figure out the best sway bar combo for my car. I want it to handle, but I will mainly just be driving it in the streets, maybe an occasional pass down the drag strip for fun. I just bought a 7/8 inch F41 rear sway bar for it, which I'm going to sandblast and powder coat. I currently have a 1 inch front sway bar on it. Will my car handle okay with a 1 inch front bar and a 7/8ths rear bar, or is it really necessary to use a 1 1/4 in F41 front bar with my 7/8ths rear bar? Any help appriciated.

I would at least swap the front bar for a 1.25" (32mm). I think it works well with the 7/8" rear bar. That's the standard combo in the Monte SS, Buick T-Type, GN, 442, H/O, etc. It's also the same combo that I've used for the last 20 + yrs. in my wagon.
Between those bars, decent shocks and tires, and the factory bracing, you should be golden.

I wouldn't run the rear bar until you get a larger front sway bar with a 1-1/4" min. I used my factory F41 rear bar with a larger aftermarket 1-5/16" front bar and it worked well but I still bought the matching 1" aftermarket rear bar.
I've always heard you are supposed to go larger in the front first.

I have the 36mm bar in the front and I drove my GP without any back bar for a while cause my 67 rear I couldn't put a stock bar in. It cornered with no problems but is is better with the F body rear bar I installed. My spring and shock set up helped as well with no rear bar. I have 670 front and 175 rated rear with linear Bilstein shocks

I just bought a 1 1/4 inch front bar from turbov6, I will be picking it up Tuesday probably. Thanks for the help guys.
