Re: wiper diagram

you can not fix a electrical problem with out a electrical diagram purchase a repair manually with electrical diagrams and follow the diagrams for powers grounds and switch. if you can't understand a wiring diagram than its over your head and you need to hire or find a friend that does, on the internate alldata or mitchell on demand have diagrams but they will cost you i have a gm manual for a 84 buick i can see if i can find it and help you if you can get some kind of wiring diagram

I do have the schematics in the haynes manual I have. It shows ground going to the switch pole, but when switched on that pole, they should go to positive. Today I hooked up just the motor without the pulse board and the motor just make a click sound and then all the wires go to positive. So I believe that the motor is bad. The new one will be in tomorrow so I will try it. If not I think I will just throw molotov cocktails at the car until it explodes.

I've actually had quite a few instance's where brand new auto parts didn't work right out of the box. It really pisses someone off, especially when it sends you tearing the rest of your car apart thinking it's something else. Ultimately the best way to fix something is to go right through the dealer as they make the best parts. Unfortunately they usually cost 4 times as much and as our cars get older and older they become more limited on what you can get from them. It's shitty. I like the molotov cocktails idea, except do you really wanna waste perfectly good liquor? :? Let us know if that fixes it. Sometimes haynes and chiltons wiring diagrams aren't all that accurate. Mitchell and All Data are alot better. A few people on here have access to those so if you can't figure it out maybe someone can help out.

Don't throw moltov cocktails at it, having the fire department come costs money...
Where do you live? I'll swing by with my trailer and haul the car off so you won't have to worry about it anymore, free of charge

Blake, looks like we gotta make a boat truck/trailer to go get it, I'll bring the beer and we can get to work

Well, I guess it was just a bad "new" motor I got from the auto parts store. Hooked up the new one without even testing it and everything works perfect. Except one of my wiper arm springs broke, but the point is, they work.

hey dude
next time you work on something electrical just remeber to not to get all freaked out, diagrams are your best friend!
