My brake lights do not work. I put in a new switch but that did not help. When I turn my headlights on, it appears as if the brakelights are always on. Any clues?

did you check the fuse?

the passenger side brake lights work. I replaced all bulbs, but nothing on the drivers side. hazards work.

Since hazards work the circuitry around the lights is OK. I'd focus on the circuitry between the brake light switch and the drivers side light.

if the brake lite comes on when you turn your lites on it sounds like you have the bulbs in backwards or the wiring is reversed..have you checked any of the wires with a circuit tester?

I replaced the plate light bulb, and now my brake lights work. I don't know if that has something to do with it, but I'll take it.
