MIKE'S MONTES HAS THE FLOOR STUDS FOR GBODY BUCKETS, IF YOU GET GBODY BUCKET TRACTS YOU CAN TAKE THE TRACKS OFF THE BRACKETS A REUSE THE MOUNTING PART,THE REASON BEING THAT THE AFTERMARKET SEATS HAVE TRACKS ALREADY, YOU HAVE TO DO SOME GRINDING TO GET THEM APART,THE GBODY BUCKET TRACK BRACKETS ARE CURVED SO YOU NEED MAKE THEM FLAT, I MOUNTED THEM IN THE CAR AND TOOK A BLOCK OF WOOD AND HIT THEM WITH A HAMMER, I USED 2 PIECES OF 2 INCH OR SO WIDE ALUMINUM MOUNTED TO THE GBODY BUCKET SEAT BOTTOM BRACKET AND BOLTED THE SEATS TO THE ALUMINUM PIECE, I DID IT ON MY CUTLASS AND USED THOSE AFTERMARKET SEATS LIKE SUMMIT HAS AND THEY CAME OUT SWEET AND WHERE THE SAME HEIGHT AS STOCK,THE SUMMIT SEATS ONLY COME IN VINYL, I WANTED CLOTH, I THINK THEY WERE APC,THEY WERE 149.00 EACH, I WAS SO GLAD I DID IT THOSE RACING STYLE SEATS ARE WAY WAY MORE COMFORTABLE THAN ANY GBODY SEAT IT WAS LIKE DRIVING A DIFFERENT CAR.
I AM GETTING READY TO DO THE SAME THING ON MY 81 LEMANS BUT I HAVE TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS FLOOR PAN FIRST.

Are the Summit Racing Seats better than the JC Whitney seats that were mentioned above? Are they both a handful getting to fit in a g-body that orginally had a full bench seat with no console? That is another thing I will need is a console. Guess I could ride for awhile with no console.

Need to put in new carpet in my GP as well. Probably need to do the carpeting first before I tackle putting in those seats. Also, what would I do about the backseat bench seat? The seats I want are black or gray and the back bench seat is blue.
