There's like 4 guys on here that could fix that car properly. I'd be willing to bet on Cowell damage to the lower A pillar a bad upper control arm and the top of the right rail being ugly ugly laid in and probably a kink in the lower engine crossmember below the oil pan. Out of the 4 guys on here that CAN do it I think only one would and it's not this one

Phew! Thanks for keeping me out of this. ;)

Well I guess Im a sucker, picked this up today for little more than scrap price. The A pillar is not damaged but the upper door hinge, door, (inner) fender, radiator support, upper control arm, fan shroud are all garbage. Windshield is broke because of the hood and hinge being mangled. For now Ill be keeping it for parts for my other two 79 Elkys.
Got the back story on why it was wrecked, a mitsubishi galant lost control doing 80+ mph and went backwards into the Elky after launching across a driveway.

the roof at the top of the A pillar passenger side is buckled so you know the A pillar is toast and looking down the drivers side you can see the front frame is teaked

Good parts car for odds and ends not worth fixing. If it were a race car you could straighten it with a couple hammers a porta power and a chain but to make it street worthy? Waste of time it’s a lot of hidden damage you’re not seeing, wrecks that hard not unheard of to crack the engine block or transmission case, definitely re clipping the frame (I’ve seen them bend from less with full cages and reinforced) but being a stock frame you’d just replace it, that kind of damage in the hinge area, cowl area and the roof looking distorted the body is junk unless you want to have a few hundred hours and a lot of panel replacement from a donor and then you’ve still got a salvage title. But it makes a great parts car for small odds and ends and scrap it when you’re done
