I want to swap my axle for a posi and I have been offered a few but mainly out of a camaro 1st/2nd/3rd/4th gen would any of these fit and be a pretty easy swap?

i believe it's 3rd gen camaros that used a 7.625 axle. you can use the gears and the diff, and maybe the axles( not sure of length) . you can't switch the housing over due to the different suspension system. the only direct bolt ins are g-body rears. a-body rears can be used with the properly modified control arms.

the 4th generation rear is much wider than the G-body the 3rd gen may be closer but your still going to have to use your housing....the axle splines may be different too...id look for an S10 because they simply were beat on like the F-body cars!! thats my .02

You can always buy 28 spline axels and use the camaro rear diff I thank that 87 and up camaro s 10 have 28 spline and 86 and older have 26 spline if you can get a diff from that year it will bolt right in but good luck finding one in good shape.
