13. At a 4-way stop, note which other vehicles are first-in-line/already there/are already stopped; your turn is after those other vehicles have each gone their way

Or...here if more than one vehicle arrives at a time, the vehicle to your left has the right of way.

#1 Don't speed up and pass another vehicle to stop and turn...

That's interesting. Here in Texas, when two cars arrive at a stop sign at the same time, the car to the right is given the right of way.

every time I get mad about how other people drive....I flash back to every time I did something stupid while driving....and it evens itself out.
I evened out long ago so now they just owe me.

I see it everyday commuting to and from work, i used to take the freeway, but for the past two years i've been taking the canyons. Everyday there's an accident, everyday there's some crazy on the road weaving through traffic, so i just decided to stop taking the freeway. I know not much people have that option, but its the only way i can avoid idiots. Sure, i might only hit 60MPH, but its better than staring into the face of death everyday haha. It's crazy how idiotic drivers are here in CA. My GF and I spent some time in Flagstaff earlier this year and we were both amazed on how courteous drivers are in Arizona compared to CA. IE: staying in the right lane and only using the left lane to pass. That seems to be a hard concept for some drivers to grasp.

It the left one here in Ontario but then again no one here really stops so it's a free for all....

That's interesting ... the maritime Rules of the Road state that in a crossing situation, the vessel to starboard (right) of the other vessel has the right-of-way (technically, becomes the "stand-on vessel"), since learning that I figured the rule of 4-way stops had a maritime background. Is that just in Ontario or all of Canada?

Lighting schemes of vessels at night are a green light on the starboard side & red light on the port side, so the stand-on vessel sees a green light -- which I thought led to how traffic lights got their color schemes.
