hope you get it sorted out. Sounds like you are close but trying to deal with both fuel and timing at the same time can be a trying process even the most experienced. Handing it off to someone who can fix it will be a load off your mind and get you some seat time.

Hot damn, cant believe its Labour Day weekend already and we are talking about winding things down !!!

btw the orange in the line could be some rust in the tank or lines. Good luck !

what about the choke on the carb, if it's electric is it wired up properly and getting 12 volts and adjusted properly? When I am setting up a carb on my engine I cap off the brake and pcv vacuum to make sure those are not affecting the A/F mixture.

another thing I don't think was mentioned have you taken off the front bowel the check the power valve to make sure it is the right one for your engine and that the power valve isn't blown. A blown power valve will flood the engine

Thanks again for all the tips. I ended up borrowing another Holley carb from a friend and once I installed it today the motor fired up and idled great.

Except for now there is a terrible knocking sound coming from inside my motor! I am almost in disbelief because I've spent so much time and energy to get to this point and the motor sound like it's going to fall apart. What the heck could it even be?? I have a terrible feeling about this..

I tried to upload a 6 sec video so you guys could hear it but it's apparently too big of file to be uploaded. How else can I do upload a video?

check to see if the bolts on the flexplate are tight. I like to use blue loctite on those bolts

Smell the oil it will smell like gas

Not trying to be a dick, but aren't they called sight plugs so you don't have to take them out? My old school Demon manual says to adjust to just visible...

Holleys are not see through like the Demons or Quick Fuels

They are just screws
