Holleys are not see through like the Demons or Quick Fuels

They are just screws

th

they do sell a set of see through plugs to help to adjust the level but they are supposed to be removed after the adjustment and the brass plugs are supposed to be installed....

Washed out rings, ugh!
Fingers crossed for better outcome.

I hope it's not washed out rings. If it ends up being something serious it's probably going to be the end of my project. I have thousands and thousands of dollars invested now so that would be a real blow.

Keep your fingers crossed for me lol

Also what is strange is that now and it started and ran fine. I heard that knocking sound but decided I would put it in gear and take it around my block quickly and it seemed to run fine. The knocking sound got quieter but did not go away.

What is strange is that when I got home from my 2 min drive and went to back it in my driveway, as soon as I put it in reverse and gave it some gas it stalled out and now I can't seem to get it started back up no matter what i do. I waited an hour came back and it still just cranks and cranks and won't fire up.

Things are starting to look worse worse with this rather than better and better lol trying to figure out where that line is to say it's not worth anymore if my time and money. Hopefully she'll be road worth before hitting that line though..

Hey guys just though finish this thread of lf with a few a couple questions. I still can't seem to get my car to run. Installed the fuel regulator and carb spacer as well as a working spare carb and the car seem to run and fire up really good.

Today I decided I would test drive it now that I got it to idle good. First I decided I would fix my leaky water neck as it seem to be getting a little worse. As soon as I fixed the leaky water neck though and started it back up I noticed a lot of white smoke coming out of one of my tail pipes. I put it in drive and I could even get it to my other parking spotat the other end of my complex (smoked the whole time) before it died and will not restart now. It didn't seem like it was even close to firing.

Am I safe to say that I have a blown head gasket?

Dave

what did the smoke smell like?

People keep asking me that but I have a terrible sense of smell. I'm always working alone so I have no one to ask.

Does it smell sweet people ask? Well it definitely doesn't smell like candy is shooting out if my exhaust lol if I had to put money on thiugh I would say it does smell a little sweet.. doesn't quite smell like normal gasses fumes at least
