This is a very open ended question, but what do you guys know about CF connecting rods?
From what I understood this is very very new technology and save for F1 race teams basically no one has them. The ones I saw were being developed by Lambo (2017) in a forging type mfg process where the fibers are random directions (more strength).
But there has been some chatter about CF rods for LS motors and others. The pictures I've seen of them look exactly like the GRP alum. rods, but in CF and with a perfectly straight pattern, meaning they were hand-laid.
In the offbrand world, someone who just started the business is coming out with a 4000hp aftermarket engine block, and CF rods, and my BS meter is going off. So i was just curious if anyone knows who is making these CF rods or strength/pricing info if available.
They are definitely real and coming, but its just the timing and availability thats making me skeptical. CF pistons arent far behind either.
