I just brought a 1984 Cutlass with a 3.8 V6 will a 1979 carburetor for a 3.8 V6 fit on it I'm trying to save some money help a brother out

I don't even know if itNot if you still run off the computer. To use that one you would have to swap the distributor to a vacume advance unit and the smog eqmt won't work with it either if that's still in place.

I just brought the car from an old guy and he said it needed a carburetor not tryna to kick out a lot for it since I'll be changing the motor just want itI think the question is what are you trying to accomplish
