I am getting ready to set the timing and get air and fuel right on my 79 Monte Carlo 231 V6 3.8L. My question is what is the fast idle screw (RPM) for carburetor and Park? Emission label is long gone under hood, and in the Chilton Manual the BTDC is 15 degrees? If I could get some advice/information I would truly appreciate it, Thanks in advance!

fast idle is on the passenger side of the carb under the choke housing.
curb/hot idle is on the drivers side and is only in use when the choke is all the way open.

Appreciate it, do you know what the actual RPM would be? Like 600 & 1000 to 2000?

Chilton should show that, but usually around 700 to 800.

On a drive test, trans in drive, from dead stop just take foot off brake. Car should just creep forward... <5 mph.

factory hot idle in park 700-800 usually works.
fast idle is set when the engine is dead cold, 1300ish rpm on the highest step of the fast idle cam.
