Do you have any other wires, other than the battery cable, connecting to the large post at the 12:00 position on the starter solenoid? If not, that's the issue.

I dont. What size wire do i need? And do i run that one from the starter to the battery as well?

The wires are there already. They feed all the power to the fuse box. When you changed the battery cable you didn't get them back on.

I dont see anything down there that looks like it should be
Or are you talking about my smaller wire on the positive? Is that suppose to be on the starter?
Im sure i sound like a moron but i know absolutely nothing about electrical stuff

Did you find something like this down by the starter?

And what;s up with all the adapters....just more places for poor connections. I would get the proper cable ends for the battery in use.

From the factory, the power feed wires to the fuse block have ring terminals on them and they attach to the top stud (12 o'clock position) on the starter solenoid along with the positive lead from the battery. These wires include the fusible links mentioned above. Since the car started before you replaced the battery cable I'm lead to believe these wires slipped of that stud while you were replacing the battery cable. I know you are not seeing them but they must be there. Otherwise there is no way for power to get to any of the rest of the car's wiring, which is why the car is electrically dead. Right now, the only place in the entire car that has power is the starter solenoid. It does you no good without power to the rest of the car. You must reconnect those wires. Try a telescoping mirror and a good light. If you have to, drop the starter to find them. They must be there. It's how all GM cars of the era are built.

Didnt see anything like that.
The cable had the same type of end as the side that goes to the starter but i thought maybe for some reason that had something to do with it. I just wanted to put things back how they were before to see if it would help.

Here's a diagram of the start circuit showing the two fusible links and how they feed inside the car

Where does the red wire from the battery go...I have seen people hack stuff up to avoid replacing the fuse links, cause they can be a PITA to access
