When I had the body off I used 14 gauge steel make a strap to to weld onto the connector tying it to the frame. The bolt for the control arm passes through the strap. I don't have serious power but I thought why not since I just used the left over metal from the metal I bought to box the frame

With that kind of HP you need some help back there. I run them along with the upper & lower connectors. If you look there isn't much there and I've seen some mounts ripped out. 12's ?? - with 650 HP - your single digit capable !!

We haven't had it to the strip at all, but will now. But I'm sure my lack of suespension knowledge is going to keep the 60' times in the 'ugly' range until we get tires and rear gear ratio dialed in. Once that happens I'm sure we can turn up the boost and be in the 800 whp

The H and R parts braces are a little more simple, but, they are all about the same. Trick Chassis offers some as well. Or, the all do the same thing. I liked the JT Racecraft upper bracket, not to say it was better, I just liked it's design.

Anyone run these : http://buickgn.com/hrframebraces.htm ?

Do they accomplish much?

They are a well made. I welded in the upper control arm braces. With some massaging they fit well. I tacked in the lower braces but had to remove them because of interference with the mufflers. I'm running the 3" Hooker LS exhaust system (very nice kit) and swapped out the loud Hooker mufflers with some Dynomax Super Turbos which only created more interference. Think about your exhaust strategy before buying. I wanted full exhaust exiting in factory location so my options were limited. With 430-450 whp. I am not sure I need them. I plan to fabricate custom braces later.

Thanks guys - I'm ordering them.

Anubis - I assumed they would need a little 'massaging', but I can handle that!

Hope you have a cage tying everything together also. Things can go nuts in a hurry with that power.

I can't bring myself to like the video. That had to hurt. Glad he is okay.
