When you are welding the patch panels I would cover the door panels, dash and front windshield to protect them from hot sparks
You can't have too many welding blankets.

I like what you have done so far. I would leave the badges off unless you are going to put a turbo six in it. Kind of sacred.
I hadn't thought of that. Good point. While many of us here like the work you've done, i.e. putting a convertible top on an early '80s Regal and turning it into an '86 GN clone, we're gonna be the only ones that know that right out of the gate. The closer that thing gets to looking like a real GN, the more clueless people you'll have reaming you out for "destroying a GN." haha Oh the irony!! They're gonna think you cut up a GN and pulled the turbo-6 out!

But keep it up; it's looking better every week.:wax:
I agree with the other guys about protecting the interior pieces if you have more welding done.

ima go ahead n put the badges on there paid for already haha i caint send them back plus i know it will trip ppl out
You go right ahead, but expect some crap from others. Maybe you should put a noisy gear drive timing set in that 307 to fool people as to what is under the hood.
