That's the tricky part most mfers overlook: can you package it factory-like AND retain fenderwells? Any hack can make what works work, but HOW MUCH CAN YOU MAKE WORK??

I like to think I did package it in a factory-like manner - it was one of the original goals of the project.

It may not be totally obvious from a few pictures how "down and in there" it all is. Fender and hood dumped downpipes annoy me - mostly because of how lazy/sloppy it is... and how unsafe/illegal they are.

I definitely understand removing the inner fenders for clearance, but the other benefit is heat reduction. We pretty much cannot run with inner fenders and a stock hood in traffic without having crazy under hood temps. The downside is running in the rain - splashing water onto the headers/hot side piping.

Definitely a huge consideration going forward. I am going to need a lot of heat shielding to manage the temperature.

It's all good, and probably the whole reason I haven't tries it on mine yet. Yours is immaculate compared to some of the sh*t I've seen!

Thanks! I am just learning as I go, and making mistakes along the way.

What's funny is I just had an "Instagram Welder" sh*t all over my welding ability on Facebook (in a private group of "car buddies" no less). It is such a weird flex to use to build yourself up over others when that is your only skill.

Decent functional welds are just fine people.

Haters gonna hate Mike.
Not much you can do about it. The guys that are in the know and actually get off their *ss and do are the ones whose respect you get.

This should work.

That's pretty slick! That's 4" down pipe?

Yup, a full 4 inches. Lots of room around the heater box and floor, and a half inch off the frame/engine.
