Mount your coil packs and recheck for clearance. It looks a little too tight. I f'd up on #2 cylinder - too close to the turbo. I would'nt have created the problem if I would've mounted the coil packs prior to fitting the downpipe.

Like so?

Wow, the pic in post 307 is deceiving - it looks alot closer to the head than you are. The inner fenders being taken out really opens it up.

It is all in the planning and execution - I find most folks are pretty hasty when they build stuff. That said, the mock-up a few months back offered a bit more accessibility to the plugs... but now the car is in the way of ol' Mr. Number 8 Plug. The idea here was to build in as much flexibility and modularity into the downpipe for assembly and serviceability purposes.

I'd grab the inner fender to test fitment for our edification but unfortunately it is buried in the back of the shed right now. If I had to guess it may need a slight trim between the UCA and downpipe, and maybe near the firewall.

I feel like a bit of an *ss for throwing out a knackered set of Monte fender liners a year ago, which would have been great to chop up. Oh well, cannot (sensibly) keep it all.

Things involving me and a welder.

...but whatever it is - it is going to drone badly.

Quick fix for that. It's called give it more accelerator pedal. Fixes drone issues immediately. 🙂 Looking good. This definitely will be a street cleaner. Figuratively and literally. Just don't point the exhaust tips down or you'll be chucking rocks.

LOL. Thanks - but that's as far as this one is going (for now) and a turn down is definitely getting added so it drums on the Earth.
