MONTE CARLO "COPO" Monte Carlo SS - Turbosaurus Build (Swinging Dick Racing's c*ck got bent... she bounced a little too high & hard, & came down awkwardly)

Cleaned and prepped the short block (scraping gunk, cleaning the decks, chasing bolt holes). Then I called for my assistant. I cannot express how important it is to get their hands on things if you want them to share your passion for cars. It has to feel familiar, not foreign. And it isn't just holding wrenches and watching... they aren't any more likely to screw it up than you are. Teach them the process, explain the purpose, and let them execute. There will be a real sense of accomplishment and ownership once it comes to life.

I popped in the LS7 lifters and LS1 trays after she ran in for dinner.

Well I can see one thing she has wrong already, she doesn't have a beer in her hand. Have you taught her to cuss too?

After a MFing week I finally got the replacement intercooler ordered for my air compressor. Unfortunately I won't see it for weeks (shipping in from the US on the slow boat from Cali). So no more heavy work for a bit.

In other news I scrubbed down the covers to get all the varnish off and ready them for paint.

Then I asked my 6 year-old for suggestions on paint colours - she chose all of them.

Drilled and tapped some holes for turbo drains and a PCV hole in the valley cover.

Your LS identifies as an olds.

Ive been trying to figure out what it is for years

It falls some where on the spectrum between his and hers moustaches and his and hers Drakkar Noir.
