There's something to be said about using a 50/50 mix. No one talks about waters reaction and it's cooling capabilities. I ran 60 psi of boost, sometimes more, and the only thing that kept me in the safe zone was 50/50.

If this were and extreme pressure/high dollar build I would be taking a different stance/approach to this. However, it is a janky Chy-nah turbo on a JY engine made with left over parts...

^^^ There is alot to be said about this. I'm onto the low budget program for the 1st time in my life. It seems as though I'm learning at a faster rate than previously. I'm at a point of 'oh well' if something goes wrong and I break something.

Nothing quite like not having the correct sized NPT tap and just running it in fast and dirty. Drill and smash.

Popped in a new tune that should be less sensitive to IATs and pulling timing. Will test it later... got to pack the HellKitty for autocross in the morning.

for future reference, I found this Kiwi way of making a shadetree water/meth injection unit very intriguing....

Had my oldest riding shotgun tonight in the wagon while we were out cruising, just to find out that our town is running the local car show again. So we stopped in. After a short stay I took her home and came back with the Monte.

On the way home I played with the boost controller (set it to 60% DC) and it gained another pound of boost.

...and then, right at that moment, this little guy decide pop out and say hi.

Making a big ol' stinky mess of things. Pucker factor was a solid 9 out of 10.

Is that an injector?

Indeed.

Rail pressure behind the injector inlet pushed it out. That 1 extra pound of pressure (1:1 rising rate FPR) was finally enough to dislodge it.

Guess I am going back in there to come up with a new mounting solution. Sometimes this is a game of millimeters.

Maybe if I put more boost under the tip it will pop back into place?

Why do you need rising fuel pressure with injection?
That's a new one to me
I mean if you have like 20 to 30 psi of boost I get it but 10+ ?

Because he doesnt have a Holley to compensate. lol
