CPP C5 spindles

Are they "drop" spindles? Or stock ride height? Any corrected bump steer angles or corrected geometry anyway?

They look good!

Stock ride height is the only way they come, i believe.

I had the same concerns with respect to geometry and angles -- I spoke with CPP's tech department to make sure everything would work, everything should be in stock locations... I have the ridetech tubular a-arms with tall upper ball joints and coilovers, they said i should have no issues.

Very interested in these. Sounds like you and I have the same front suspension. I'm running HQ shocks, you?

Yes, I've got the HQ shocks.... What do you think about all the weight of the vehicle on that rubber bushing on the shock shaft?

I'm in the middle of my resto and attached is where i've been stopped at for several months, waiting on these spindles....

Rubber bushing, you mean the bumpstop on the shaft? That's only if you bottom the suspension out and it prevents shock damage. I've been driving with mine since the beginning of last summer and I love it. Have yet to really mess with shock adjustments though. Still ironing other issues with car. But it corners amazing with 275's on all four corners

Mock up photos. The abutment bracket needs small shims to center it on the rotor, but overall everything seems to check out.

I'm using C6 ront rotors/calipers, which is the largest setup that will work with a 17" wheel.

apologize for the crappy photo's but it was 1:45am.

If you didn't use a backing plate between the wheel bearing and the spindle that is why you needed to shim the caliper bracket.

yeah, i figured that - thanks for the reply! i actually called CPP tech service last week to inquire so i could gather everything i need before the weekend. he insisted i just bolt the wheel bearing to the spindle. i was looking at the camaro c5 spindle instructions that show some flanged washer between the bearing and spindle -- i specifically reviewed it with him. again he said it wasnt needed. he said that sometimes the bearings will have a gasket from the manufacturer, but to just throw that away (my made in USA timkens didnt have said gasket). inquired about the bolts, he said that they should be with the wheel bearings -- it wasnt.

not that CPP is different than most vendors/manufacturers --- but i feel like he just lied to get me off the phone. I emailed cpp customer service on monday for the instructions, but of course they never replied.
