SM84, if you like a chrome look, ask someone who works at a body shop if they have any leftover pieces from chrome rocker kits. Usually those have to be purchased as a set. Since they typically only need a piece or 2 for a job, the leftovers get tossed in the corner...or the trash. Most come with adhesive backing too. I trimmed out my Goldwing and a buddy's Nighthawk that way for free.

DRIVEN i do have the bottom door chrome from the monte carlo CL doors,an fenders ,i never thought to cut them up an use em for something though, good idea

Nice skills! I have an aluminum skiff, so lots of parts get fabricated from whatever signs I "find". By the way, those signs are made from a very good corrosion resistant marine grade alloy.

Thanks !! i could only imagine what i could do if i had a CNC WATER JET CUTTING MACHINE an the know how to work it lol. Also if i knew how to weld aluminum id make me an over flow tank out of this stuff
I didn't know about them being marine grade alloy,Every now an them there's an PENNDOT place, that has all kinds of signs with defects ,i was able to buy one for real cheap

Yes, just think, they are outdoors, all year long, for years and years. They endure road salt, sun, exhaust, rain, heat, cold. I have a book on alloys, and I forget the exact grade, but there is a lot of magnesium in it. It's stiffer than 5052, maybe it's 6061. Not easy to cut!

That be cool if i did know how ,you got pics of your licence plates? i never really got into working sheet metal, for one i only have the "basic hand tools"****** an i can't weld worth a sh*t

I hope you took my post as a joke. There are not many people with the skill or the imagination of making things with sheet metal. You aluminum sheet is a metal so those parts you have designed and made is working with sheet metal. I am impressed with your skills. We are getting ready to do the tin work on our pro late model and a person with your skills would be much appreciated.

6061 aircraft aluminum. Great stuff. Bought some scraps at the recycle yard. This way, didn't even have to have to scrape the 3M reflective coating off.

Cuts with a coarse tooth jigsaw blade and files easily with a large file. Loads up the fine files too much. You can actually score the thinner stuff, clamp a steel straightedge to it, and break it off. Makes a fantastic galvanic battery if you bolt is straight to bare steel.

When I was in the Navy, we had lockers tucked into corners all over the submarine made of this stuff. Never corroded even when hosed with seawater.

I forgot to add my ram air intake,The air intake plenum, i bought threw JEGS ,but the aluminum tube i found in an abandoned building. Not sure what is was for, being it had treads on one end an an adapter screwed on it,It's 4" round like 4/16 thick or more lol Over kill for an intake pipe but i got it FREE just had to cut it,Sand the sh*t out of it a polish it,The intake tube coupler's i made from an old rubber floor mat.Filters i got at Autozone.Thinking about get the longer ones, but then i'll need to cut more off the tubes .Got about 125.00 into the whole set up.

Matches up REAL nice with my ram air fiberglass cowl induction hood
