Delay wipers

I got to try the S10 motor today. It almost fits, but the centerline of the motor is shifted to the drivers side about an inch.

On the upside, the crank arm is the same length and compatible with the wiper linkage. I think the Bonneville motor will work well, but I haven't picked up one yet.

I also haven't found the 84-up positive grounding wiper schematics for a G-Body yet, but my Haynes manual is buried in a box somewhere so I may have to go on a garage treasure hunt soon.

That looks promising. So, aside from being off center a bit, it bolts on identically and the linkage arm is the same length. That's cool. Let us know how it works once wired up. Good work! Thanks for your research. 👍

I dug out my G-Body Haynes manual and found these schematics that show the differences side by side.

Luckily these are for a 2 wire armature motor that my Pontiac is equipped with. There is also a 3 wire variant that is out there, but I am not sure how much different they are.

Yup that's them. I found them too but you guys beat me to it.

This it?

Those the bottom one looks correct for 85 up. It's unfortunate that none of the schematics show the range of resistances the delay circuit is looking for.

It looks like later schematics fill in the blank, but it will be a bit of guesswork on what values the switch put out in Low position.

Here are the Bonneville schematics that I will be comparing with. Everything looks pretty straightforward, but see what you guys think.
