i tried to read all of the posts, i didnt really read that the motor did not turn over... are you saying that you turn the ignition and the starter isnt even engaging? or that it turns over but doesnt start. assuming you are saying that it wont turn over and i see that you have checked that the engine isnt seized, test the starter...

if it is turning turning over trying to start but not, maybe a timing issue, check that the dist cap isnt loose, if loose it can spin and get off timing and shut off... then it wont start back up until you are back closer to the correct timing... and if it was loose it can spin off timing while you are driving and shut off too

Three things needed to run.

Compression, does it have compression? Have you checked the oil? Is it a milkshake? Could be a blown gasket, cracked head, or block. You did say it got hot. Compression check and then a leakdown could tell you a lot.

Spark, are you getting spark?

Fuel, Is this an injected car? Fuel pump issue?
