I didn't intend any criticism. just a case of sticker shock
I just did a 3/4 ton GMC 4X4 Rotors and pads and the parts were under $250
We use GM Durastop premium ceramic pads and Durastop premium rotors.
We also use Bendix titanium metallic pads and rotors None of the parts from our suppliers are anywhere near that spendy.
We also have found from experience that the EBC pads seem to be hard on the rotors , causing early replacement.

well i beg to differ i got over 10,000 miles on this setup and it works great and i find little wear on the rotors but it could be im usingt ebc rotors wihich are cad plated with slots and dimples like porchse rotors and with my pads. im glad you dont like spendy stuff i do i show this truck as well and to me it was money well spent stops on the dime everytime. and i just found my bill it was 613.40 shipped to my door pads front and rear were 167.00 and the rest was rotors which 432.00 plus shipping anyhow im happy with my purchase and id do it again. for elko im running autozone duralast ceramic pads with napa zince coated drilled and slotted rotors and it stops fine as well but when im towing 10,000 lobs i want to stop better then the el. good day all
Like I said before use whatever works for your needs . If you need $900 worth of brakes to get what you need done then that's what you need to do. No worries :|
Well maybe you should re read as I stated I was wrong with my 1st deal I don't have have 900 worth of breaks its more like 600 again for me it was worth my point is don't knock others setups.

Yep I have and maybe on my next set it is an interesting process. The setup I got now has no fade never let's me down and  with my 3/4 ton Avalanche with an 8.1 liter big block I towed my you hauler all over the southwest up and down hills andto be that is important more so than what it costs.

Forsure quality products can be well worth the money. As far as fade wasnt worried to much about that, a good setup and it should be the last of anyones worries, but I guess the cryogenic stuff lasts longer and is more warp resistant, that would be my main concern.

Alot of the cheap stuff is just made in china and not exactly to straight even brand new. Ive put lots of new rotors and drums on the brake lathe and alot of them have been way out.

Bought a new set of power slot rotos a few years for my old caddy sts and nothing like putting it all together to find the front rigors warped after driving out the drive way had to take them off send em back etc major pain in the butt. The Chinese. Crap is just that crap.

 800 bucks for pads and rotors did you do the calipers too?

That's a lot for just pads and rotors...

Damn, I payed over $1200 for stock replacement (everything new except lines, booster, master cylinder, and proportioning valve from Budget Brake. 😢

for around 200 i got a full b body 12 brake upgrade. all i had to buy was rubber lines 1 rotor 1 caliper 1 bearing set and pads. friend gave me 1 loded spindel and one bare. had to spend another $100 on ub machine upper tubeular contol arms to run the b body brakes. cant complain

i have used ebc green stuff, mintex red and pbr metal masters. all were used on my audi and each were far greater than stock. the cheep rotors were allways a prob.
