I am just looking for a answer,,maybe a right one,,if it wasn't for the overdrive transmission then I wouldn't be here asking...I no little about those transmission and what is involved with them,,,me personally I would rather drop a 350 turbo in it and not deal with all this but I need the car to drive everyday to work....I am open to any and all ideas the problem is I have no idea how to rebuild any carb. I have used Eldelbrocks before and had good luck,,,doesn't mean that is the case or will always be the case,,,so I am willing to try whatever I can just to have a car,,this isn't a project car where I have time to let it sit this is my car to get to work or whatever I need to do,,I plan on doing this over a weekend because that is the only time I will not need the car.

There are several Youtube videos showing how to rebuild carbs including CCC Qjets. Look in the How to / Knowledge base section for GM service videos for CCC systems. Be sure to look up the putty knife trick.

Ok after days of searching and finding the parts I need to switch this carb out I decided to stick with the quad so if anyone could point me in the right direction for a place to buy a good rebuilt one I would appreciate it.

The amount of sh*t needed to just replace a carb is crazy
It's because of the computer system.
It's all or nothing. It's not easy (nor possible in some cases) to fool the obd1 system and still have it work ok.

If you don't want to rebuild it yourself, everyday performance, among others will rebuild yours to stock specs and fix every issue that it has. The cost to have that done is far less than it would be to learn on your own and esessentially completely start from scratch ditching the ccc setup.

Good luck.

If you decide to swap to a turbo 350 I will buy your 2004r that would give your some cash to get everything converted to non computer controlled. I've switched alot of gbodys to non computer controlled it's not that hard unless your not mechanical inclined. I dont normally say this but in this situation a q-jets carbs is better than any edlerbrock carb. A holley style carb like a quickfuel is my favorite carb and work great out of the box but benefit from changing intake manifold to a square bore intake and not using a stock spread bore intake.
