So what happens when the tv cable isn't sitting the way it was before? The red mark used to meet the black pc.

I adjusted that so it's back to where it used to sit. I started the car up...damn thing wants to idle at 2k or more

You either have a vacuum leak or need to turn your idle down.
There should be a fast idle and curb idle screw.

I got the idle kinda figured out. I have to move this piece like this for it to sit at a normal idle.......

But as soon as i touch the pedal it acts like it gets stuck at a high rpm

Looks like there's another screw that adjust what my finger is touching. Do I have to adjust that? It looks like it's touching/stopping the movable pc. My other carb the screw was backed out and never made contact with it

So this is the old carb. The new carb should be set like that?

Hahahaha. That screw was in too far and was blocking that pc from coming back down. Now it idles just fine and no more stuck idle 😎

How does the carb run?

Seems good. No backfire or anything wierd. Feels like I have better throttle response. I think I need to adjust the air mixture screws a little bit. According to the video, for fuel economy put the screws all the way in and .5 turn back. For street performance. Back out til it idles fast then go .5 in....need to find the sweet spot. Also need wider tires 😂 seems like after my tires spin the car pulls pretty good. I bet the car would launch pretty sweet if the tires actually hook up
