Can't wait to hear your results- I am building my motor this week. Out of the car though :) I hate working on heads and cams in the car. Plus my 350 was tired so I am building a new one

Sad thing is I still have to lift the engine up or take it out to change those crappy welded on frame mounts and get the headers in there... so id probably have been better off just pulling it in the first place

Ok so the old mounts are out after a lot of grinding and the new solid mounts are in place. Was quite a bit of work in the end. So now the work on the suspension starts including putting lowering springs in as well as replacing all the bushings with poly pieces. Also will be putting a 1 inch sway bar on the front

Has anyone ever had the shaft for the upper A arm get seized to the bolts that go through the frame bracket? If so how did you get them off? It is stuck so bad on the drivers side that even with the bolt off the shims wont come out. Have tried to slide a pipe up through the control arm and hit the pipe with a sledge hammer to no result. Seems to be stuck pretty good. Is there a replacement for those bolts if they are to rusted? I know they are splined to fit in the hole on the frame mount and havent really seen any exactly like them

Heated that sucker till the bushing caught fire and the bar just started to get to the point of glowing and it still didnt break free. Really stuck on there. Im going to try again tonight and hope it comes off
