I understand that there olds but this is what I was saying

I found some GM repros for a 305, but usually they say turbofire and a higher hp than a basic 305 has. I guess no one wants a decal that says 140 hp!

I found ones with no HP listed on it, now it graces tool box.

I like that 5.0 liter H.O. dual snorkel from a L69 Camaro/Firebird, Olds just put a chrome lid on the 307 HO, I wish they had a period correct decal like that, it just screams the 80's. I know his Olds is a factory abomination but the bowtie does match power plant, although most aren't proud of the 305, funny how 5L sounds so much better.

You could use a dual snorkel air cleaner from an earlier car .There are a variety out there ,Then have the lid chromed .Then search for the decals and or even have it painted on as an option.

I like the clean look also. I took a 94 Blazer air cleaner with the 2 stud top of an Astro van. Added the duct and a plenum of fresh air side. I have since moved intake to the inner fender

There is a painted lid for those air cleaners (search early '70's Z28).

What if you reverse the decals.

Put the Chevrolet on the lid curved to follow the curve of the lid and the emblem on the bottom half

Thats it, I got mine for $40 and I still need to find the hoses for it...🙂
