here is a rpo decode page.............enter code and it tells you the option

68L, SECONDARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, CINNAMON MET ( 92 )

63T, TOP COLOR, MED TAUPE (92)

in your case i think that they used a secondary color that would have been used on a two tone

Wouldn't Cinnamon Metallic be a red color?

The exterior is some sort of brown, the vinyl on the rear of the roof (forgot name) is tan, the interior seats are tan with the brown dash and tan floor.

This is what it looks like. The L is the color, right?

...Also, how would I go by decoding the numbers/letters?

Edit: Found these ones online
81 = 1981 (Obviously)
AM6 = SEAT ASM,FRT SPLIT W/CTR ARM REST(60-40)
C04 = WASHER & WIPER,PULSE W/S
BX2 = MOLDING,BODY SI LWR (WIDE
B51 = MOLDING,RKR PNL(EXTRA WIDE)
NB1 = EMISSION CONTROL,CLOSED LOOP
3AR47 = Oldsmobile, Cutlass Supreme, Coupe
M = Michigan

Now what do the 04B, 733302, 63V, 68L, 63T, L and A2035 mean?

That should read 63U, not V.

The colors will be listed as 63U (upper) 68L (lower) and 63T (trim)

63U, PRIMARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, MED TAUPE MET (92)
63T, TOP COLOR, MED TAUPE (92)
68L, SECONDARY COLOR, EXTERIOR, CINNAMON MET ( 92 )

This is pretty confusing. Medium Taupe could be the color, but it seems a bit too dark and the Cinnamon Metallic is a redish color and there is no red on my Cutlass.

pretty sure that the secondary color was for two tone cars.........although it looks like 67v, i would say it is probably the primary color

by the way, if ya spend the 60 bucks ya get quite a bit of info......including all the options on your car, engine specs, and all available options that could have been ordered for that year.

just a thought, but less questions needed with this info

I think that would be my best bet. That RPO Code site doesn't seem to be 100% accurate anyways. I checked out the 79C on the information for your car that says it's Claret, but the RPO Code site says it's Ruby Red.

I have a question about colors for my car, I have a 1986 442 and my cowl tag reads 19L, 12M, and 19U. I know that the 19U and 19L are the codes for lamp black upper and lower but what does the 12M mean? Also shouldnt the paint code for my lower color be different since the 442's came with silver on the bottom and not black like my cowl tag is saying???
Also I take it the 442 stamoed in there means the car is a 442 but shouldnt that code be W42?

I might be wrong, but I think the 12m means the car was made in the 12th month.

If I'm wrong, someone please correct me.

I will, I just need to go get some new pictures. I don't really care for the pictures I took a few months ago. 😀
