Ima guess you got a few,10, 15 years on me....

Well, I'm 56. I was always the biggest kid in the neighborhood in my age range and everyone I hung out with was older than me. Being in bands got me into a lot of local establishments before I was "of age." Come to think of it I don't think I ever got carded more than once or twice in my life. :)

Mark,
I couldn't agree with you more. I never really cared for Bruce's voice. Johnny is a much better singer.

I don't know why, but I never really listened to Johnny, just didn't come up I guess. I liked Bruce until Darkness on the Edge Town came out. Can't stand anything he released after that.

More MD music
RIP, Brian

I remember seeing their signs posted around Pasadena whenever they played at Network. I never really checked them out. I remember a lot of musicians in our area ragging on them, though.

Here's a few great soul brothers whom I had the distinctive pleasure of seeing live at the Filmore East
Great horn section, too.
Here's some blue eyed soul.
I know I'm dating myself, but I grew up with this great music.

When it comes to country music, I'm in the camp that says country died with Marty Robbins. But Junior Brown is an exception:
