In August '74 I arrived in Germany for an all expense paid vacation on Uncle Sam. I got aclimated pretty quick and in October lo and behold Faces were playing right there in Nurnburg at the Meistersingerhalle.
You didn't visit "The Wall" while in Nurnburg? 🤐
Back in '04 while in a holding pattern at Alexandria, La after finishing up at Ft. Polk the Idaho National Guard got Paul Revere & The Raiders to play a Thanksgiving show. Pretty cool to watch them perform. One of our Pa guys got Paul to somewhat wave a Terrible Towel. The best was Paul & his wife were helping serve the Thanksgiving meal, super nice when I got a chance to talk to him.

WV CHEVY MANN, back in, lemme say, 1970 ?!? I managed to get to see Humble Pie and Grand Funk Railroad at Shea Stadium in Queens. I think I ran into everyone I knew both from my neighborhood and high school there. As great as Grand Funk was- Humble Pie stole the show. This was way before Framptom got full of himself. The late Pete Fornatel of WNEW-FM MC'd. Pagrunt- never you mind about "The Wall".:friday: 💃 😍 EDIT! EDIT!!! Lookey what I found. It was 1971.

Even though that was years before I was born, I imagine that was a cool show.

Yes ... Would have loved to have been there .... While Grand Funk was very good I can see Humble Pie stealing that show for sure.. Thanks for that bit of history my friend ....

Lotta great music out there. I have been lucky to witness much. But I still think 80's music is the best for listening while wrenching on my cars. It's, refreshing. Just as it was back then.

I hate to admit I forgot about that song but I still have their LP, that is a great tune

I remember Humble Pie with Steve Marriot. They were a good band in their time.
And of course, I remember Grand Funk Railroad. I think I saw them at the Filmore East. What a great venue. I feel fortunate that I caught some great acts. Ten Years After, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Big Brother and Holding Company, Sly and the family stone. I'm feeling nostalgic.
