Feeling discouraged

Man, that ain't nothing. In my t bird I had 1/4" plywood as floors. None of the power windows worked, if I wanted AC I removed a floor panel and get a nice dose of carbon monoxide to boot.

If it really bothers you, get after it with a wire wheel and rust preventative paint/primer and re undercoat.

Plus, with that rear main leak (that's what it looks like anyway), it will never rust. 😀

Basically, you're fine man. Your car looks a lot better under there than anything around where I live that isn't restored or 20k mile old lady owned. It's not gonna be all pretty under there forever.
I think That's what saved most of it. Years of sludge protecting the metal. I was scraping chunks off it before I undercoated. Oil pan bolts were loose and valve cover gaskets leaked. I think the main seal did leak from sitting. but seems like the more I drive it made it stop.

I’d sell it before it becomes a safety hazard.

I don't think he is. Maybe use a dehumidifier in your garage Briguy.
That would be a good idea. Well guess I saved the best pic for last.....ttops must be leaked for a long time. If anyone else ever commented/read my threads will know that I have a tendency to "over react" over anything 😐

Unless you do a frame off your never going to be able to get to everything. Ditto the others on they way it looks, the best thing you can do w/o taking it apart is spray it down with a rust inhibitor. I've used LPS #3 on everything I've owned and swear by it but It's expensive. If you do nothing more than spay it with oil you'll be further ahead.
