Has anyone ever actually seen one of those "red jacket" guns other than on TV? I get the feeling they're really hyped up and not really that great... They're just the same import "olympic arms" and Saiga guns that Atlantic Firearms sell on their website only they're charging a couple hundred bucks more for that ugly RJ logo and a paint job and a more fancy stock (not counting the silencers). And I think that show is so retarded... Especially the so called "1000 yard AK" hey FYI "Will" there's pretty much a thing like that already it's called an SVD Dragunov or hell get an AR15, G3 type rifle, FNFAL, M1A/M14, AR10, Steyr AUG, or one of the many other types of significantly more accurate better made assault/semi auto rifles. An AK is awesome but it's little better than a caveman tool it's good for giving to millions of poorly trained guerrillas and commies to send a lot of lead in a general direction without needing much maintenance... But if you want a sniper rifle then get a sniper rifle. Ugh that show really boils my onions and that other one "American guns" that one is almost just as bad. Sorry.... unnecessary rant.

I'd rather spend even more for a higher quality American made piece, than a marked up imported piece with a logo from some fad company with a TV show. But I'm kind of a snob like that... I get off on an S&W, Ruger, or Colt pony logo stamped on my gun but I believe they're better though even if that's a delusion.

Picked up a new rifle the other day... Got the lever gun I've been saying I wanted for a long time. It's a mid 80's manufactured Winchester 94 "Ranger" which I know was pretty much the cheapest model 1894 rifle but I don't care I like it. It's got a pretty neat scene the previous owner carved into the stock it's got two ten point bucks fighting carved in relief on the right side. Kind of neat gives it an old timey feel to a not that vintage gun... You can tell it's not professional carving work but I still think it's cool. It needs a cleaning, but it seems like it was barely used the bluing is at least 90% its just got one little light scratch on the receiver and the slightest wear in the blue on the loading door and the bolt and lever even have almost perfect finish. Got it for 270 out the door which after I checked on gun broker seems like I got away with it about 100 bucks less than average but I saw a few that were well over 550 and one that was new in box for 850 for the same model, so I don't know what makes them so special.

So there's another piece down that I wanted to ad to my collection... Now I need a 1911, a Browning superposed, a .22 target pistol, and an M14 and that should round it out.

i recently got my new american rifelman mag and they have an ad for kel-tec ksg. its a bullpup 12 ga. shotgun. heres a pic

and heres a video:

ive been looking at prices on gunbroker and its "buy it now" price is $2,999.99
heres some stuff by the seller:
The KSG is our first entry into the shotgun market. The size, shape and design are similar to the currently available Kel-Tec RFB rifle, but the KSG ejects downward, instead of forward. The KSG weighs 6.9lbs and is as compact as legally possible with a 26.1" overall length and an 18.5" cylinder bore barrel. Even with this compact size, the internal dual tube magazines hold an impressive 6 rounds of 12 gage 3" shells each, for a total capacity of 6+6+1 (7 per tube if using 2-3/4" shells). The simple and reliable pump action feeds from either the left or right tube. The feed side is manually selected by a lever located behind the trigger guard. The lever can be positioned in the center detent in order to easily clear the chamber without feeding another round from either magazine. A cross bolt style safety blocks the sear, and the pump release lever is located in front of the trigger guard.

The pump includes an under Picatinny rail for the mounting of a forward grip, or a light or laser. The included top Picatinny sight rail will accept many types of optics or iron sights. Forward and rear sling loops are built in, and a basic sling is included. The soft rubber butt pad helps to tame recoil.

this think seems pritty kewl to me, but you can get a saiga 12 and have a 30 rd mag and that would cost less and pritty much do the same thing. what do you guys think?

Can we legally own that in Union of Illinois Socialist Republic?

If it were me I wouldn't buy a Kel-Tec unless it was dirt cheap... So I'd have to agree, I would get the Saiga and even those are two expensive. I should have gotten one back when they were 350-400 bucks now they're a lot more. I think the cheapest I saw was about 550 bucks used recently.

I thought that shotgun barrels could be down to 16 inches just like rifles?

First question gives ya the answer. 18 inches, any less it has to be registered as a SBS.

Unless you buy a factory production riot barrel. For instance i have a winchester 1200 12 gauge with a factory 14.5 in. riot barrel. Bought it at the place that sells the louisville police their guns.

You got pics of this? I am pretty sure attaching that to a standard old shotgun is a felony but if I can be proven wrong that is awesome. I will have to look into this, I wouldn't mind owning one myself.
