Fishing (2020)

Went to aptly named Fishing Lake, pretty sure we caught at least 50 fish, pretty steady all day. Nothing to big maybe 3ish pounds and some little ones, majority Walleye, a few Pike and kept 4 nice Walleye to eat. My Wife caught 3/4 of them.Resized_20200721_181858.jpegResized_20200721_131118.jpegResized_20200721_131116.jpegResized_20200721_131724.jpegResized_20200721_133206.jpeg

Those boat guides are awesome. Wish I had put them on my trailer sooner. As we only day-trip our boat I see so many people struggle like we used to trying to get the boat back on the trailer. Now with the guides it makes it so quick and a lot less stress. Good luck fishing ! And if I may add, a bimini top on sliders and 2 anchors made it so we could stay out on the water longer with less fatigue once you find your "spot"

I agree, the boat guides are awesome. My Wife isn't just pretty, she is dam useful. I put them right on the back and tight to the boat. Her Eagle eyes, she spots stuff all the time driving like wildlife, noticed the boat was wider mid way, we measured, 8" difference! I just attached it to the rear most cross frame. The mid frame cross beam luckily was the widest spot on the boat, I left an finger width of clearance on both sides and left the top bracket just loose enough so it can flex. I did put the cordless impact and a 9/16" wrench in the trunk, good thing, we would have needed it!

I'll disagree with that; you got yourself a nice catch (and she fishes, too!).
My neighbor just bought the 5' version of those guides. See, he moved them from their original position, then proceeded to have them come loose with one falling off on the highway. The 5' versions have 2 supports per side.

They have 4 screws per side on the top piece. The bottom is secured with cross clamps that attach to a square bracket to hug the frame. This one was rated the best. The only real complaint was staples wrecking the paint. I put them to the outside. My Wife is awesome, likes cool cars, the Challenger GT is basically her car and makes 80K a year as Nurse.

Yup. Just make sure the tube is under the cross member. Neighbor put it on top, and the curve up must have been hitting the side, frame rail, then wiggled loose.

The aluminum boats are light and do swing around a lot in the wind. I found that if I got out closer to the boat I could snap the hook on the bow eye and drag it straight in a lot easier. So I used some swimming pool extruded aluminum top rails to make a walkway out to the middle of the trailer. Stainless fasteners for salt water. Now I can walk out, snap the hook, and pull the boat right in without it wandering. No need to go swimming and I can do it alone. Whalers need keel support so the rollers take the weight. The bunks are for lateral support and act as guides. Once the keel hits the first roller it comes in straight. EZPZ.IMG_1037.JPGIMG_1036.JPG
