Well, my Wife had a 9 pound give or take Channel Catfish at the Crooked Lake spillway. She had the head in the net and ahold of the tail. She could almost taste it, a beautiful speckled one. Then she blew out a sandal and dinner got away.

If they have any, that's harder to get ahold of. I think last year they had to buy it off the natives? And they don't get much.
This arrived. Should help guide the boat on, especially in windy conditions. Which is nearly every freaking day here. Anywhere extra windy this year?
I went back today with my Daughter. High tide a couple hours before dusk. We hit the shallow flats that were draining. My first cast I got a small Striped Bass. I figured Oh Boy this is going to be good. I caught zip after that. But she got three cocktail Blues which is the limit now. As the too-warm bay waters drained the fish moved out.
